Appearing on CNN with Wolf Blitzer, former NJ governor Chris Christie responded to the report that Michael Flynn floated the idea of declaring martial law during a White House meeting.
President Trump, disputed the report in a tweet, calling it “fake news.”
“This is why someone like Michael Flynn never belongs anywhere near the White House, let alone inside the Oval Office,” Christie said. “and his lawyer Sidney Powell.”
He continued “I’ve been talking about this since the transition in 2016, how dangerous I thought General Flynn was. I sat with him in security briefings with the then-candidate Donald Trump, and then with President Donald Trump, and I will tell you that he is not fit to be giving advice to anyone.”
In a separate appearance with Chris Cuomo, Christie said “elections have consequences and this one was clearly won by President-elect Biden. … It’s time for us to accept that defeat.”

Chris Christie says the Trump legal team's “legal theory" is "an absurdity."
"The reason the Supreme Court is not taking this is not because of a lack of courage. It’s for the same reason that every court has thrown this out — it’s a lack of evidence.” https://t.co/pUvrfxqSMo pic.twitter.com/IGwp4mxJuo
