According to ratings, the NFL may have still not gained the viewers back it lost during the controversy over teams kneeling during the national anthem for social justice protests, a trend that started with Colin Kaepernick.
Per sports media watch:
Chiefs-Buccaneers lowest rated Super Bowl since 1969 (Namath) and least-watched since 2006.
Sets streaming record, but still least-watched since 2007 with that audience included.
