Trent’s twitter account no longer has any mention of association with Ocasio-Cortez and links to none.com.
NYPost reports a top adviser to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has abruptly left her campaign, The Post has learned.
The freshman lawmaker’s campaign spokesman, Corbin Trent, revealed his surprise departure when a reporter contacted him for comment on Sunday.
His affiliation with AOC was also scrubbed from his Twitter account.
Trent referred questions to AOC’s campaign manager, Rebecca Rodriguez, who declined comment.
He was part of AOC’s brain trust when she shocked the political world by ousting ex-Rep. and then-Queens Democratic Party leader Joe Crowley in the 2018 Democratic primary, becoming the youngest woman elected to Congress.
AOC, a Democratic socialist, has emerged as one of the most powerful voices on the political left in the US. She is heavily favored to win re-election later this year in the 14th Congressional District covering parts of The Bronx and Queens.
