In a statement issued by his communications director, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker said he will not support Trump for President.
“The governor cannot support Donald Trump for president and is focused on seeing Massachusetts through the pandemic,” Lizzy Guyton, Baker’s communication director said. “He’ll leave the election analysis to the pundits.”
Baker was highly critical of President Trump’s comments on peaceful transfer of power and Trump’s criticism of mail in ballots in a presser in late September.
Baker also did not back Trump in 2016. He has been highly critical of Trump’s coronavirus response and critical of the President’s comments about the BLM movement.
