BREAKING: Pelosi announces “If the President does not leave office imminently and willingly, the Congress will proceed with our action”

According to a breaking new report from NBC News, Speaker Pelosi, in letter to colleagues, says she’s spoken to Joint Chiefs Chairman Milley “to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike.”

Pelosi is quoted as saying “if the President does not leave office imminently and willingly, the Congress will proceed with our action.”

Pelosi tweeted Thursday “This morning, @SenSchumer and I placed a call to Vice President Pence to urge him to invoke the 25th Amendment which would allow the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to remove the President. We have not yet heard back from the Vice President.”

She added “The President’s dangerous acts necessitate his immediate removal from office. We look forward to hearing from the Vice President as soon as possible and to receiving a positive answer as to whether he and the Cabinet will honor their oath to the Constitution and to Americans.”
