Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the statewide mask mandate imposed eight months ago will be lifted starting on March 10.
In addition, Texas businesses will also be able to operate at 100% capacity, including bars and restaurants.
Greg Abbott tweeted:
I just announced Texas is OPEN 100%.
I also ended the statewide mask mandate.
Abbott added “Today’s announcement doesn’t abandon safe practices that Texans have mastered over the past year. Instead, it’s a reminder that each person has a role to play in their own personal safety & the safety of others.”
