BREAKING: Georgia recount uncovers over 2,600 ballots in Pro-Trump county that were not tallied

Georgia’s recount has found over 2,600 ballots that were not tallied in Floyd County, a county that strongly favors Trump.

Per AJC “Trump could gain nearly 800 net votes from the discovered ballots. There were 1,643 new votes for Trump and 865 for Biden.”

According to Gabriel Sterling, the state’s voting system manager, the problem occurred “because county election officials didn’t upload votes from a memory card in an ballot scanning machine.”

Sterling said “It’s not an equipment issue. It’s a person not executing their job properly.”

“This is the kind of situation that requires a change at the top of their management side,” he added.

Luke Martin, chairman of the Floyd County Republican Party said “It’s very concerning. But this doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue. I’m glad the audit revealed it, and it’s important that all votes are counted.”

The nearly 800 additional votes found in the error for Trump will in themselves not make a difference in the Georgia Presidential election result as Biden’s lead in the state is roughly 14,000 prior to the recount.

Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller tweeted in reaction to the news “Well look what we found here…thousands of uncounted ballots in Georgia…”
