In what might be the final nail in the coffin of Kaepernick’s prospects of ever playing in the NFL again, commissioner Roger Goodell said on Wednesday that the league had “moved on” from last month’s workout with Colin Kaepernick.
“This was, as i’ve said to you before about creating an opportunity…and we created that opportunity. It was a unique opportunity, a credible opportunity. He chose not to take it, and I understand that and we’ve moved on here.”
After rejecting his original NFL organized workout at the Falcons’ training facility, Kaepernick ended up setting up his own workout at a high school field and hour away.
After his workout, Kaepernick gave a post-workout speech challenging NFL owners and teams to “stop running.”
Kaepernick has received zero offers since.
