BREAKING: Carville says Trump likely to drop out “He’s so far back. It doesn’t make much sense for him to run”

Appearing on MSNBC, Democratic strategist James Carville predicted there is a “significant chance” President Trump drops out of the race.

“I think there is a significant chance he doesn’t run,” Carville said on “Morning Joe” Thursday. “This thing is going so poorly. He’s so far back. It doesn’t make much sense for him to run.”

Carville then suggested Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell would be part of Republican leadership urging Trump not to run.

“This is the great ‘Moscow Mitch’ strategy” Carville said “after Labor Day, we’re going to turn on him. That’s really going to work.”

However, this is not the first time, Carville has made such claims.

October 2016, Carville insisted “I think he’s going to quit. Really, right now, I’m saying right here.”

Trump went on to defeat Hillary Clinton in a stunning upset victory.
