BREAKING: Bubba Wallace Issues Statement “It’s been an emotional few days”

NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace has issued the following statement on Twitter:

It’s been an emotional few days. First off, I want to say how relieved I am that the investigation revealed that this wasn’t what we feared it was. I want to thank my team, NASCAR and the FBI for acting swiftly and treating this as a real threat.

I think we’ll gladly take a little embarrassment over what the alternatives could have been. Make no mistake, though some will try, this should not detract from the show of unity we had on Monday and the progress we’ve made as as sport to be a more welcoming environment for all.

During a fiery segment, Tucker Carlson blasted the media’s “wall to wall coverage” of the Bubba Wallace story before key facts came out.

“From the beginning, there were a few who expressed skepticism,” Carlson said “Bubba Wallace, who never produced pictures of the ‘noose’ had a message for anyone who questioned his story: They were stupid and racist.”

“The FBI bought the story completely.” Tucker continued “They’ve done nothing to arrest the people burning police stations or tearing down monuments of George Washington. But the FBI sent 15 agents to Alabama to investigate the ‘noose.’ After days of investigation, the FBI discovered it was a rope with a loop used by work crews to pull down a garage door.”

Carlson wrote on Facebook:

Unfortunately, no one ever bothered to ask the obvious questions, such as where exactly was this “noose” Bubba Wallace was talking about? And by the way, haven’t we heard this story before somewhere?

This was the FBI’s official statement on the matter.
