President Biden’s communication team today made it clear he’s against making changes to the filibuster.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said to reporters “his preference is not to make changes to the filibuster rules and he believes that with the current structure that he can work with Democrats and Republicans to get work and business done. He’s also happy to hear from Sen. Manchin and others who have ideas about how to get the business done for the American people.”
Communications director Kate Bedingfield made similar remarks pm CMM. saying Biden “wants to work with Republicans, to work with independents. He believes that, you know, we are stronger when we build a broad coalition of support.”
