According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, Attorney General William Barr has known for months about investigations into Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings but worked to keep them from public view.
Per WSJ, Barr has known “since at least this spring” and “worked to avoid their public disclosure during the heated election campaign.”
Fox News host Chris Wallace reacted to the news by saying Barr was ” playing it by the book” by not making the investigation into Hunter Biden public.
“I will say that Justice Department guidelines are that the Justice Department does not take any action in the weeks or even months leading up to an investigation — or to an election that would sway that election,” Wallace said.
“So it would seem that Barr was playing it by the book in not doing this. And remember the firestorm when James Comey, the FBI Director, came out first in July of 2016, and while he said that there would be no prosecution of Hillary Clinton for her emails, he kind of roasted her and then I think 11 days before the election he announced the investigation was being reopened because of information that was on Anthony Wiener’s laptop.”
According to the WSJ, Bill Barr knew about the investigations involving Hunter Biden since at least the spring. It's remarkable to me this didn't leak — a lot is still working like it is supposed to. https://t.co/3a8JeR7L3c
