Biden tells kids as President sometimes his job is figuring out how to “avoid answering” media questions

During a visit to a New Jersey elementary school class, President Biden joked about his job sometimes being how to figure out how to avoid answering questions.

“When you’re president, do you see all these people here?” he asked, referring to reporters.

“They get to ask you all kinds of questions and you try to figure out how you avoid answering them sometimes,” he added.

Biden has made it a general practice to often avoid answering questions.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki justified this late September arguing that Biden sometimes does not want to answer “off topic” questions.
