Biden stirs debate by saying he’ll prioritize Black, Latino, Asian, Native American and women owned small businesses

In a video posted on the Biden-Harris Presidential Transition Twitter account, President-Elect Biden says “our priority will be Black, Latino, Asian, and Native American owned small businesses, women-owned businesses, and finally having equal access to resources needed to reopen and rebuild.”

The reaction was mixed and stirred debate on social media.

Sarah O’Brien replied “as the owner of a small woman owned business, I appreciate that!”

Jeremy Frankel replied “this seems like a blatant violation of the civil rights act, if not the fourteenth amendment.”

Marina Medvin replied “PSA: Discrimination based on race and sex includes white men and remains unlawful under federal law.”
