Biden says it would be important for the country for Trump to attend his inauguration, that may be unlikely

Speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper with Kamala Harris, Joe Biden said it would be “important” for the country that Trump attend his inauguration.

Biden said it would show “there is peaceful transfer of power, with the competing parties standing there, shaking hands and moving on.”

However all signs point to Trump not planning on attending.

Tuesday, Ken Dilanian of NBC tweeted “Per my NBC News colleagues: Trump may announces for 2024 on inauguration day.”

He added “Either way, he won’t attend the inauguration and does not plan to invite Biden to the White House or even call him.’

President Trump teased a possible 2024 run at a recent White House Christmas event.

Trump told a crowd of mostly Republican National Committee members “it’s been an amazing four years. We are trying to do another four years. Otherwise, I’ll see you in four years.” The crowd reportedly erupted with cheers after Trump finished his remarks.
