Biden says he asked Fauci to be Chief Medical Adviser and will ask public to wear mask for 100 days once inaugurated

Appearing on CNN, Joe Biden revealed to CNN’s Jake Tapper that he has asked Dr. Anthony Fauci to be a chief medical adviser in his administration’s Covid-19 response team.

Biden also said he’d ask citizens to wear a mask 100 days after he’s inaugurated.

“On the first day I’m inaugurated, I’m going to ask the public for 100 days to mask. Just 100 days to mask — not forever, just 100 days.,” Biden said “And I think we’ll see a significant reduction.”

For his part, Fauci said Thursday “I’m going to be meeting with them today, by Zoom, by virtually. So today will be the first day where there will be substantive discussions about the transition between me and the Biden team.”

He added “i’m very pleased that today we’re having the first discussion about a number of things, vaccinations and things like that.”
