Bette Midler brings back “Sex Strike” against men idea previously proposed by Alyssa Milano

Thursday “Wind Beneath My Wings” performer Bette Midler tweeted “I suggest that all women refuse to have sex with men until they are guaranteed the right to choose by Congress.”

She wrote earlier the same day “The cruelty of the #GOP is endless. We are suffering COVID-19, hurricanes, apocalyptic flooding, wildfires from hell, joblessness, homelessness, evictions, racial strife, and they pick this hideous time to pile on yet another shock to women, by taking away their right to choose.”

In 2019, Alyssa Milano suggested a “sex strike” in protest of abortion rights.

She wrote:

Our reproductive rights are being erased.

Until women have legal control over our own bodies we just cannot risk pregnancy.

JOIN ME by not having sex until we get bodily autonomy back.

I’m calling for a #SexStrike. Pass it on.
