The AP has finally called NY’s District 2 House Race for Republican Andrew Garbarino to fill the seat of retiring lawmaker Pete King, who served since 1993.
The call comes over a month after election day.
Garbarino defeated Democrat Democrat Jackie Gordon.

Garbarino tweeted late November “Nancy Pelosi should not be Speaker of the House.”

He had also declared victory, though the AP had not officially called the race.
