AOC takes issue with Pence referring to her as “AOC” instead of “Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez”

In a post-debate tweet, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took issue with Vice President Pence referring to her by her well-known nickname “AOC.”

The media sensation and progressive Democrat star wrote “For the record @Mike_Pence, it’s Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez to you.”

AOC also took issue with how Mike Pence conducted himself during the debate.

She asked “Why is it that Mike Pence doesn’t seem to have to answer any of the questions asked of him in this debate?”

She added in a separate tweet “Pence demanding that Harris answer *his* own personal questions when he won’t even answer the moderator’s is gross, and exemplary of the gender dynamics so many women have to deal with at work.”

AOC also had a issue with the debate moderator, writing “I still can’t get over how bad the climate change section of the debate was last night. This is the consequence of no climate questions in debates for years. The questions were childish, no follow-up questions for basic information, & there was almost no talk of solutions.”

She added some advice for journalists and future debate moderators, adding:

Journalists:“How do you feel about the Green New Deal” is not a climate change question.

Try: “What is your plan to bring down emissions?” so voters actually understand if a candidate even *has* a plan for the worst impending crisis of our time, and can share what it is.
