AOC Reacts to Trump’s Ukraine Transcript, Calls It “An Outright Betrayal of Our Country”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has responded to the release Ukraine transcript on Twitter, calling it an “outright betrayal.”

“I would like you to do us a favor…”

Folks, I am surprised the White House even released this transcript. It’s worse than we thought.

The President sought to use the powers of the United States government to investigate a political opponent.

We have no choice but to impeach.

Also – what they are calling a “transcript” isn’t even a transcript. It’s a collection of notes. This is what they are *admitting* to and it’s way above and beyond what is necessary for impeachment.

The President engaged in an outright betrayal of our country.

Some Trump supporters responded to the lawmaker with tweets supporting Trump.

Others cheered on the freshman lawmaker.

Detriot Free Press reports President Donald Trump repeatedly pressed the president of Ukraine to re-open an investigation into a Ukrainian energy company to focus on any involvement by Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, according to the transcript of a July telephone call between the two leaders.

In the 30-minute call, reduced to a five-page transcript released by the administration Wednesday, Trump also told President Volodymyr Zelensky that he was directing his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, and Attorney General William Barr, to assist in the inquiry “to get to the bottom of it.”

“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son – that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the attorney general would be great,” Trump said.

The transcript was released the day after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an impeachment inquiry.
