During an instagram live session, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed that “people are dying unnecessarily” because Trump and Republicans didn’t take coronavirus seriously during the early stages.
I think that if Trump took this seriously, if Republicans took it seriously, I think that if if we decided to listen to scientists early more than we listen to, you know, people who care more about profit than human lives, we would have taken precautions much earlier and we would have saved lives. We either would have gone into lockdown earlier in some circumstances or we would have started producing these damn ventilators way earlier than we are now. We would have invoked the Defense Production Act, but because Trump didn’t do that early enough, now we’re scrambling. And everything that is happening is happening late. And every decision that we make late means that people are dying unnecessarily.

Meanwhile, in March 10th, AOC herself was lamenting people not visiting Chinese restaurants due to “racism.”
Honestly it sounds almost so silly to say but there’s a lot of restaurants that are feeling the pain of racism where people are literally not patroning Chinese restaurants, they’re not patroning asian restaurants because of just straight up racism around the coronavirus.

Per TCO, in a new interview with “The Daily” Dr. Anthony Fauci countered the notion coming from many critics of President Trump that he didn’t take the coronavirus pandemic seriously in the early stages.
Fauci also said “I think it will be remembered of really showing what a great country we are. We have been through, as I’ve said, if you look at the history of our country, some extraordinary ordeals. I mean, world wars and diseases and depressions and we’ve gotten through it. I have a great deal of faith in the spirit of the American people. We’re resilient. We’re going to get over this. And this is going to end.”
Per DailyCaller, Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an interview released Thursday that President Donald Trump took the coronavirus threat seriously “from the beginning” of the pandemic.
“I think he always understood the seriousness of it. Right now as the numbers are becoming crystal clear, he himself is articulating an awareness of that seriousness,” Fauci said in an interview on “The Daily,” a New York Times podcast.
“But from the beginning, he always took it seriously.”
“The President has his own style, that’s obvious to the American public. When I speak to him about issues that are substantive he listens.”
