“Antiracism Scholar” argues adopting black children does not mean Barrett is “not racist”

Ibram Kendi described by some as an “anti-racism scholar” and author of the book “How to be an antiracist” is facing backlash over tweets about SCOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett’s adopted children.

Ibram wrote”Some White colonizers “adopted” Black children. They “civilized” these “savage” children in the “superior” ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity”

He continues “And whether this is Barrett or not is not the point. It is a belief too many White people have: if they have or adopt a child of color, then they can’t be racist.”

“I’m challenging the idea that White parents of kids of color are inherently “not racist” and the bots completely change what I’m saying to “White parents of kids of color are inherently racist.” These live and fake bots are good at their propaganda. Let’s not argue with them.” Ibram X writes in a third tweet.

Quite telling of his political views, Ibram Kendi is for packing the Supreme Court if Barrett is confirmed.

JT Lewis replied “Pray for Amy Coney Barrett’s family. There are some sick people like this guy who will stop at nothing to destroy them.”

Senator Tom Cotton fired back “Ibram Kendi launches a cruel, racist attack against Judge Barrett and her family. But what else would we expect from a fraud like him?”

Taurif Rahim wrote “I don’t know Amy Barrett. And I don’t know Ibram Kendi. But I don’t want to live in the world that Ibram Kendi is trying to build if it leads to the below.

When did we all become so righteous to condemn all others, casting aside all empathy, all nuance, and all understanding?”
