Monday, actress and activist Alyssa Milano stirred debate online by making the provocative claim that a mask will protect you more than a AR-15 will.
Milano’s full tweet is “Anti-maskers are the same people who think they need an AR-15 for “protection”.
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: A MASK WILL PROTECT YOU *MORE* THAN AN AR-15 WILL.”
Milano then blocked replies from everyone other than those she follows, in other words over 99.9% of the Twitterverse was censored from replying to Milano directly.
As expected, the statement garnered quite a few reactions.

"At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." https://t.co/VdNnZGtKsf

The few that Milano follows and were allowed to reply to her directly also sounded off.
Stephen Gutowski wrote “Those tools are for very different kinds of threats. I own both AR-15s and KN-95s. I don’t see any conflict in that whatsoever.”

Cindy Lou, a supporter of Milano’s claim replied “Exactly! An AR-15 is useless against a virus and pretty much anything else in life.”
Conchita Leeflang, who Milano follows, also agreed with Milano and replied “Amen to that.”
Amen to that.
