Alec Baldwin’s wife issues first public comments on fatal movie set shooting

Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria has issued her first public comments on the fatal movie set shooting that ended the life of Halyna Hutchins.

“My heart is with Halyna,” Hilaria Baldwin on Instagram. “Her husband. Her son. Their family and loved ones. And my Alec.”

“It’s said, ‘there are no words’ because it’s impossible to express shock and heartache of such a tragic accident. Heartbreak. Loss. Support,” she added.

Special-effects and firearms expert Steve Wolf told the NY Post Alec Baldwin should be at least be held partially responsible as the person who fired the gun and producer of the film.

“If you’re capable of memorizing 120 pages of dialogue, you can memorize four lines of gun safety,” Wolf said.

“If that scene required him to put the gun to his head and pull the trigger, I’m sure he would have taken a look inside the gun. Wouldn’t you?”  he asked.

“They hired someone who was insufficiently experienced,” Wolf added. “If he’s the producer, the buck stops with him.”

“Don’t point guns at people,” is one of the first rules of gun safety on set, Wolf declared. “Don’t point guns at anything you don’t want to put a hole in.”
